Joseph Surgery is able to provide more advanced, and efficient surgical treatment for his surgical patients. Quality outcomes and our commitment to constant improvement are our main goals.
Our Surgeon is proficient in advanced laparoscopic surgery, as well as other minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques within his specialty. We provide special expertise in Abdominal, Colon and Rectal, treatment for hemorrhoids, Hernia, Breast, Thyroid, Gallbladder, Oncological Surgery, and much more.
We are available for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, we do not leave YOU to others. We, your surgeons, assist each other in the Operating Room. Your care while in the hospital is supervised personally by us.
INSURANCE COMPANY REQUIREMENTS
Joseph Surgery is contracted with most major insurance plans, including Medicare. We participate in many HMO’s and PPOs as well as many traditional health plans.
If your plan requires a referral from your primary care physician, we will work with you to make sure this referral is in place before your visit. Please be aware of your insurance company’s requirements and conditions for hospital admission. If your plan requires authorization prior to us ordering certain tests, or performing surgery, then we will obtain this for you.
For your convenience, we accept cash, Master Card and Visa credit cards for payment of services. Depending on which insurance plan you are contracted with, you may be asked to visit with one of our insurance counselors to discuss your financial responsibility prior to scheduling any surgery. Having a full understanding of your financial responsibility from the start will alleviate any confusion that may arise after your operation.
OUR SURGEON
Dr. Joseph obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, Florida. He received his medical degree from the UMDNJ– Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. He completed a Residency in General Surgery at the Brookdale University and Medical Center in New York. Dr. Joseph completed a research Fellowship in colo-rectal cancer at Sloan Cuttering Cancer Center in New York, and multiple specializations in different areas including Sleeve Gasterctomy, hernia repair, and Robotic surgery.
Dr. Joseph practices General Surgery and specializes in hernia repair and minimally invasive surgery – particularly surgery for ventral and inguinal hernias, breast pathology, biliary tract and pancreas; thyroid and parathyroid glands; colo-rectal, hemorrhoids and skin diseases.
Dr. Joseph is an active member of the Department of Surgery at North Shore Hospital and Medical Center, Jackson North Hospital, and Florida Medical Center and multiple surgical centers. He is a member of numerous medical and surgical Societies, and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Joseph has devoted many years at the service of the less fortunate though multiple medical and surgical missions in impoverished countries. He is an active member of the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad – AMHE-FL, and DISH.
Dr. Joseph is fluent in English, French, Creole, and Spanish.
